IPP Mining is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our dynamic team. As a Crane Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe operation of heavy machinery within our mining operations. Your primary responsibility will be to operate cranes to lift, move, position, and place heavy loads such as machinery, equipment, and materials in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate various types of cranes including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes to lift and move heavy objects.
2. Interpret and follow signal instructions from spotters to ensure safe and precise crane movements.
3. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance requirements.
4. Rig loads using appropriate lifting and rigging techniques, ensuring load stability and safety.
5. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate lifting activities and ensure workflow efficiency.
6. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting safety inspections.
7. Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including lift logs, maintenance records, and incident reports.
8. Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and procedures.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Crane Operator in a mining or heavy construction environment.
2. Valid certification or license to operate cranes, such as CCO (NCCCO), NCCER, or equivalent.
3. Strong understanding of crane operation techniques, load capacities, and rigging principles.
4. Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
5. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
6. Physical strength and stamina to work in a demanding outdoor environment and lift heavy loads.
7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
8. Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
